  • Mezuzah For Lori

  • In the wake of the tragic shooting at Chabad Jewish Center of Poway, the Chabad Lubavitch centers of the Pacific Northwest present "Mezuzah for Lori, in memory of Mrs. Lori Gilbert-Kaye OBM  and in honor of those wounded, Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, Noya Dahan & Almog Peretz .

A Mezuzah, mounted on the right side of the doorpost, it designates the home as Jewish, reminding us of G‑d and our heritage. It is also a symbol of G‑d's watchful care over the home or office.  Learn more .

We have been told that Lori was a proud symbol of Judaism in her community and to all that knew her, much like "a living Mezuzah". Sadly, Rabbi Goldstein lost his index finger he would use to touch the Mezuzah, each time he would pass through the door.

Here in Olympia we will join this statewide effort to fight this terrible darkness with light, by helping every Jewish home in Thurston County proudly mark their doors with their own Mezuzah.

Will you affix a Mezuzah on your door in Lori's memory? Do you have a Jewish friend who needs one?
