People are carrying so much right now. We feel the weight of global concerns - the economy, peace in the Middle East, elections, antisemitism, even the weather. And then there are the silent burdens we carry alone: personal stress, loneliness, uncertainty, questions about identity, questions about the future.
And so people come looking for a place where there is warmth, comfort, and a little light when life feels heavy. A place to connect. To celebrate. To grow as a community. To feel stronger, knowing who they are and where they belong.
But that light doesn’t appear on its own.
Someone has to keep the doors open, the meals ready, the menorah burning, and the learning alive.
Someone has to make sure that every person who walks in finds strength instead of more noise… hope instead of heaviness.
That someone is you.
Your end of year gift is what turns a dark week into a bright one. It transforms a simple moment into a lifelong memory. It gives courage to someone who feels low and belonging to someone who feels unsure.
This is the message of Chanukah: you light the candle even when it seems you don’t have enough. You show up. You push forward. And the light grows.
Right now, our community needs that light - and you can help bring it.
